Arizona Press Conference Highlights Alivia’s Support in Medicaid Fraud Prevention Efforts
Protecting taxpayer-funded healthcare programs continues to be a growing national priority, with Arizona continuing to strengthen its focus on Medicaid fraud prevention, oversight, and earlier detection initiatives.
During a recent press release and conference hosted by the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Office and Governor Katie Hobbs’ office, Arizona highlighted ongoing efforts designed to shift from only leveraging traditional pay-and-chase to preventive measures that enhance program oversight, strengthen fraud detection, and identify improper payments earlier.
During the event, Alivia Analytics was acknowledged alongside HealthTech Solutions (HTS) as organizations supporting these efforts.
Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs emphasized continued commitment to eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) and protecting their members. Governor Hobbs also noted that Arizona is:
“Launching a first-of-its-kind AI tool to help identify abnormal billing practices as a preventive approach.”
Office Inspector General Vanessa Templeman of the AHCCCS added:
“In collaboration with state and federal partners, Arizona is excited to be deploying new and upgraded FWA analytics tools, including Alivia’s FWA Finder, part of the Alivia 360 product suite. I am proud of this vital work, and prouder still that Arizona will once again set the national bar for innovation in our fight against those who seek to defraud Medicaid.”
